SPORTSMAN
570

2023 Sportsman 570 Trail Onyx Black is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 502.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive Machine Overall a great machine and the "Hunter Edition" package is great. Especially like the rear lights providing a work area in the back for pre-dawn activities. Only thing I have had issues with is neither the grip or throttle warmers work and have not been able to get the dealership to respond with a resolution. Most likely a fuse or relay issue but the panel is a huge pain to get too. Last, this machine has plenty of power and actually has a better torque band than the 850 or 1000 if you are truly using the machine to hunt. No way I would spend the extra cash for one of those units unless it is more a play unit that you may also use to hunt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really solid machine I was a little skeptical if a machine under 850 or 1000cc would have enough get up and go to be fun. Man was I pleasantly surprised. It rips along as fast as I'd want it to and still has a bit left. I can only imagine what kind of beast Polaris has made with the 850 and 1000. Very solid build quality. Friends of mine have a similar size atv from another manufacturer definitely can see and feel the build quality difference. Absolutely worth the few thousand more I spent. Buy once cry once. Also our dealer was the best. Blueridge Polaris. Won't ever buy anything but a Polaris and won't ever go anywhere but Blueridge. Don't mess with perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Christmas Surprise I bought 2, 1 being a surprise for my son. I really need more time before I could give a better review. I traded a 2006 Sportsman 700, so I am really comparing the 570 to it. The front rack size is smaller, so I’m not sure I can fit a whitetail up front anymore. I can’t fit the lock & ride basket from my 700 on the rear rack & they don’t offer one for the 2018 yet. I hope they make one soon. Both New ATV’s had a power steering malfunction once the first day we rode them. It cleared after turning the atv’s off & restarting. I’ve been pleased with the performance and features, just need more time to really give a complete review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good improvements, needs a bit more I upgraded my 2005 Sportsman 500HO to the current model. It was (and still is) a very reliable machine. I like a lot of the improvements on the 570, but you need to understand that easy battery access is a feature that is lacking in this model. The machine is in a remote location and stored outdoors. This means I replace the battery every 2 years. If there was easier access I would remove the battery every winter and store it indoors. I hunt until the end of November in Northern Alberta and battery removal where you have located it is near impossible when it is -20C or colder. This is my only pet peeve regarding this machine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Within two weeks of buying my Sportsman it would not run at all. Found out that due to poorly designed engine, it fouls the spark plug if you do not let the engine get up to at least 174 degrees before you shut it off. So, short runs to the barn will foul plug if it is turned off with engine cold. This seems to be a current problem with this series and have since seen numerous negative reviews concerning this problem. Also, the dealer I purchased this from actually charged me for a new spark plug. Give me a break. Also, transmission is a little "iffy" and instead of going into gear, it chatters. Have to move the shift lever to different setting then go back to drive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it but it’s had some reliability issues I own 80 acres in central Florida and I do most of my riding on the trails there. Overall I like the performance, power delivery is smooth and once you get used to the heavy engine braking it is a plus. I wish you could start the machine with one hand and I wish you could adjust the amount of input from the power steering. I do have one serious concern. I’ve owned it for less than 6 months and I’ve had it in for repairs 3 times already, throttle cable, battery issue and electrical/ lighting issues. I am also getting a lot of squeaking and rattling, dealer says it’s normal but I’m not so sure about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ride Ever This is my first experience with an off road vehicle. I can't keep the smile off my face when riding. The machine is excellent and performs great. I've been through deep mud and some water. I've never enjoyed myself so much and it opens up so much more of the forest where I ride to me. Able to go places and see things I would not have been able to without my ATV. On my first ride out there was a deer which stood on the side of the road and watched us for several minutes. An up close and personal encounter deep inside the forest. Love it. Wish I had done this sooner. Will have many, many years of fun.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overheating Polaris Ive had my new sportsman 570 for about 3 months and I'm very disappointed. I bought this because my 2018 sportsman was most dependable machine I've owned in the 30 years I've been riding. However, the excitement was short lived. I am nervous to take it anywhere now. Radiator is as clean as it was the day they put it together and it still overheats. A friend of mines son also purchased a 2021 sportsman and his overheats more often than mine does. Neither of us are hard on them, I never had any issues of any kind on my 2018, but certainly not the case with the 2021. The only positive is it's nice to look.

"Now have 3 Polaris ATV/UTV’s. Extremely happy with my recent 2022 Sportsman 570 purchase for guest and my wife to ride on the property! Another great addition to my line up at the ranch! Moving 100% to the Polaris brand!"

SPORTSMAN
850

2023 Sportsman 850 Sage Green is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 328.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail Juggernaught I use the Sportsman for work, trail riding and everything in between. Its a solid work machine however when trail riding with friends it's a class above them all. It has an unbelievable ride and unlimited power. It's a fun and capable machine for whatever you throw at it. Always looking forward to the next ride. Only complaint is with the engine braking, it's a love hate thing. When aggressively riding its a bit much and in ice/snow or even mud it can be too much braking and if not careful can get you in trouble. This machine looks as good as it performs. Its a utility quad but feels like a sport quad. It works hard and plays hard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Ride Evaluation, AWSOME!!! I went out today for the first ride on a new machine, this 850SP is awesome.Power to spare, great handling? That exhaust note is sweet compared to my 2016 570. My only complaint is the CST tires. I had 2 flat tires in the first 20 miles. Both were small punctures on the side walls. If CST had any sidewall protection, i don't think this would have happened. Hey you guys in R&D you designed a great machine, why did you go cheap with these CST tires? I'm glad it has ample storage for an air compressor and plug kit or else I'd still be walking! I'd rate this 850SP a 5 star if it weren't for the cheap tires.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plenty power I bought this 850 Sportsman for hunting and scouting. It has power to handle rough terrain but it's not an optimum hunting machine. It is too loud for hunting and it doesn't idle around at slow speed well. The differentials are noisy. Fuel consumption is higher than any other motorcycle that I have ever owned. It performs well in situations where it is being accellerated. There are wires exposed on the machine which brings concern about riding thru brush, briars and sapplings. I can't say that I am unhappy about the purchase but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting. I guess the Honda's Ive owned in the past just have me spoiled.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TONS OF POWER I bought this atv in September of 2019. I used it for Hunting land management and rifle season for whitetail. Atv did everything and more. Lots of Power. We had some trails in the woods that were flooded and had an inch of ice on top and I was able to drive drive through it in AWD and low gear like it was nothing. Nobody else wanted to try to go through it. The only down fall is that It warmed up this Hunting season and the wheel wells and all the small little places underneath were just filled with mud. I mean so much it was touching the tires. Other then that I would highly recommend the 850. Cheaper then the 1000 and I don't think you will notice the 12 hp difference.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality control My sportsman that I paid and arm and a leg for overheated and nearly melted the engine with 5 miles on it. 232 degrees , thank God I heard radiator fluid leaking from the overfill and shut the quad down. It had a “bad circuit breaker” controlling the fan. I love This machine, and since that initial issue it’s been solid. The steering is already coming loose though so that’s another trip to dealer. Hands down, this is the best Atv kn market in my opinion, I simply wish Polaris would spend wee night more time going over each machine prior to shopping off to customers. The ride, the power, the aggressive style is what I love.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine, love it. This is my third polaris machine, they just keep getting better. Excellent ride, excellent power, excellent fuel economy. I highly recommend the factory option racks and bumpers, really improves the look and utility of the machine, while protecting it as well. Dealer installed them before I picked it up, easy as that. The polaris plow is extremely easy to put on and off with no mounts hanging below the frame rails. Plows awesome. Extremely fast in the woods and pits. Sounds great with the new single exhaust just like the 1000. Very happy I decided to grab a 2019.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond pleased! I bought my Polaris Sportman 850 in March. I’ve put a couple hundred miles on since I’ve owned it and they’ve been hard miles mostly. I’m beyond pleased with it. The power of the twin cylinder high output engine nnis unbelievable. You can stand it up on two wheels without even trying. So far it’s tackled everything I’ve put it through with no problems. It does great in the mud. And it’s such a comfortable ride. The arched A-arms are so nice to have. My only complaint is the location of the radiator. It’s plugs with much pretty easy. But it’s also very easy to clean. Other than that this quad has been so great to me and has shown up quite of few other brands in the woods. My cousin said he will definitely purchasing a Polaris for his next quad after seeing how mine performs. I’m proud to say I own a Polaris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable Fun….Finally!!! I wanted an ATV for years and finally pulled the trigger. It’s been amazing fun. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and glad I got the Ultimate Trail. It’s perfect for the trail riding I do. I also purchased a 570EPS 2-up and although that’s a great vehicle the improvements in power, features, LED headlights, seat comfort, etc are well worth it. I’m having an issue where the transmission is difficult to shift. Taking it into service this week. Only other issue was how long I had to wait. There were no vehicles in stock at any dealers. Took 7 weeks to get the 850 Ultimate Trail and almost 12 weeks for the 570EPS 2-up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride! I plow the drive way, pull dead fall out of my property “trees” and ride with little guy. The photo of the sway bar is to try to help solve a problem I believe your machine has. The sway bar will literally sway into your rear shock. This can be a fixed by raising the rear sway bar for more clearance or by adding lateral locks. I added lateral locks to mine. The adc is weird too the bike can literally go into a slide by just letting off the gas on wet pavement bc it has way to much engine braking. Every thing else I love! But I want to try to help you folks build a better machine if possible. “A real review “

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polaris Convert Been riding Honda and Yamaha since the late '70s. Both quality manufacturers. But the power and fun factor of this Polaris is way more than I've ever experienced. And the quality, so far, is on par with the others. I do believe that my Polaris is as durable as they make but you have to understand that with the added power, you can break it, it has the power to do it. And secondly, if you want to cross the lake, buy a boat. I've ruined Honda's with water, and no one ever questions their quality. The power, the ride, the styling, and the build quality of this 1000 XP has no competition. Very pleased with and highly recommend to experienced riders looking for next level experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this thing Bought a 450 in July. Loved it so much I bought the 1000 in October. Both are smooth, easy to ride, and reliable. Some service items can be a little challenging if you don't have a full set of tools. Both machines have plenty of power and are easy to ride. Have the premium on the 1000, the larger tires on it can slow you down in snow, but goes through the snow fine. Thought you might like to know that after I bought my 450, my daughter bought a 570, then my brother in law bought a 450, then my daughter's brother in law bought a side by side, the my son in laws buddy bought a 570, then I bought the 1000 and then I bought my 1000. All Polaris, all from Northway. Guess we like your products

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Riding and most powerful ATV on the market I ride my atv on farms in Kentucky year round and in high altitude at 12k foot elevation, this atv does exactly what I was expecting and more. It has so much power, it isn’t even noticed at high altitude, was not affected by it. Endless power and the ride is absolutely smooth. I have 28” tires on it and it is rock solid stable and does not feel top heavy. When riding it, power steering makes it feel like I am riding something smaller, very easy for riding all day long. Rode 425 miles in high altitude 10k-12k foot elevation over 1.5 weeks, is a well built machine made to last. Gun mount keeps vibrating loose is my only complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine so far , better then my old canam ! I have only put on 350 km so far , no troubles but did have to tighten up front bumper bolts and one of the wheel caps fell off in the first 100 km. I do like the three position switch for adjusting the power output levels , that is one of the reasons I didn't buy the 850 model. I would recommend this model with all the factory installed accessories , but it dosent look like this model is available for 2020, what a shame ! Have not been to the dealer for service yet . Why doesn't it have a 2" receiver?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I love it when it works properly! I bought this bike a couple months ago. On the first ride I had to replace the power steering unit after only 3 km. And then it ran great for a couple days. On the third ride, I had to replace the belt and the clutch do to a misalignment and Polaris only warrantied the parts. I walked away from the store with a large bill for labor. Not very happy about that! Now the four-wheeler is back in the shop as it constantly runs 10 degrees hotter than my friends 1000 that was purchased at the same time. Hopefully they can figure out what is going on with this bike As It Seems to have some issues. It is not my first bike, I own four other Polaris ATVs that do not have any issues. I wish Polaris would just buy this one back! And one more thing, right after I purchased the bike my local dealer parted ways with Polaris. They were the best dealership I had ever been to, I purchased all my machines there and also had them serviced there. Now I have to drive an additional half an hour to get my machines serviced and with the way this bikes been acting up it has been at the shop more than I've been riding. As you can see I'm a little disappointed with the reliability of this machine, but when it runs good I absolutely love it! Well, this is the honest review of my 2018 Polaris Sportsman XP Le Matt copper Edition. Sincerely, A frustrated but loyal Polaris customer

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great ride! I traded in my Can-Am 1000 outlander for the Polaris Sportsman 1000, the Polaris falls flat on its face in the low end power compared to the Can-Am. Thinking about going back to Can-Am.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sons 1st 4 Wheeler The headlight burned out the second day my son rode the 4-wheeler. The seat will not stay on, it just doesn't fit properly. I bought this brand new and the dealership had to take it "next door" to rekey the 4 wheeler. I am fairly disappointed with the brand new Polaris. It's not the quality I've been used to over my lifetime. I have owned Polaris wave runners, 4 wheelers, even my pool cleaner is Polaris brand, but this 4-wheeler's quality is a let down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sad but true! So I purchased this for my daughter as a Christmas gift. We to Ocotillo Wells for New Years.. Started up when I picked it up from the dealer. Loaded it up on trailer for the trip. Unloaded when we got there. Started both times. Next morning, everyone going on a ride. My daughter's bike the Polaris 110 would not start. Found it was a blown fuse, the extra one in the back up slot was already blown. So I had no back up. A friend had a spare. Started an ran for 4 and half hours. Next ride came, same blown fuse. I bought 5 fuse, replaced them 3 in a row.. Blew all 3. I told her to leave it parked. So it Sat new for 6 days out of 7. It sun bathe more than ran. Took it back to dealer to have it covered under warranty.. 2 months later, cuz the wireharness was on back order. So my daughter has not had the joy of riding it. Hopefully the problem is solved. I just want to have a reliable bike for my daughter to ride..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, reliable ATV for young riders Bought two in last two years for my grandsons. I love the durability and smooth running fuel injected 110 cc engine! Very high quality. Nice wide tires with good traction for surprisingly good climbing capability. These machines have easily taken the beatings that literally destroyed the Chinese built models I first purchased. Cannot say enough good things about the transmission with reverse and neutral and that strong, easy start, smooth fuel injected engine. No more cleaning out clogged carburetors!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean and user friendly bike One thing that I could see would be a great change Is with having the foot break because the brake cables stretch way too often and putting some decent tires on it they don’t wear out in a couple months it’s a kids atv

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2022 Polaris Outlaw 110 The Outlaw 110 is surprisingly powerful for such a small quad. I'm 210lbs and I've climbed hills that I had no business attempting to climb but it never bogged down or struggled for a second. I have two boys 11 and 16 and I don't think it even knows they're on it. My only dislike is there is no foot brake and I think that should be standard on any quad. Nice four wheeler though, very pleased
Date published: 2022-01-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happpy kids Kids are very happy with the outlaw 110. My only suggestion would be to have a speed limiter not a throttle limited. It would be nice if tue atv would have enough power to climb longer slopes without increasing the speed. Also rear foot brake would be ideal on a youth quad as not all riders have big enough hands to easily grab the brake levers

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright for the money I bought this for the kids to keep busy this summer with the whole 'rona nonsense. Overall its been a good little bike for under 4grand out the door. It's got enough power to make it up and down our 12% grade driveway and has been fairly durable thru some rollovers and tree incidents. Parts are kind of expensive considering we all know this is a overseas made bike from the hammerhead acquisition. Furthermore, none seem to be in stock as a result of their foreign origin. Not what I had hoped when I "bought american" from Polaris. Drivetrain seems pretty durable, as the Boys have been on it 40hrs a week since I brought it home. Parts rattle loose and fall off, such as the exhaust to head interface. The chain tensioner spring broke almost immediately as did the seat latch spring. Someone needs to test the heat treat certs from the supplier for sure. The single wishbone suspension up front has taken some direct hits without twisting up. That is to it's credit. However the radical camber change looks goofy and definitely impacts handling as their skills have improved. They hope to begin racing locally in the coming year, but I'm not convinced this is the right platform to start with. It was however a great platform to get them to the point where they can recognize the difference.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Even Through The Break In Period Just bought a new 450 EPS and a new 570 Trail. 450 had all of 3.1 hrs on it when it started flashing “Release Brake” and the check engine light came on. Dealer was going to pick it up and take back to the shop to troubleshoot when they were dropping off my 570 Trail. Polaris put out a recall on both the day I was to receive the 570. I’ve two new Sportsman’s I can’t even get through the break in period with. Both are at the dealership and I can’t ride them due to the stop sale/stop ride. I have received zero correspondence from Polaris on the recalls. I reached out to Owner connections and was told there is no compensation for me on these units.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent machine for reduced price Hunting and property work. Reliable brand name. OEM spark plug was garbage; fouled out in 4-hrs run time - replaced. Antifreeze and battery poorly located; subject to impact from debris and rocks from front wheels - fabricated kydex deflectors. Tie-down points on stock racks aren’t attached to frame/structure; pointless if tying down anything with weight - just make upgraded racks apart of the stock sale. Smooth engine; plenty of power, especially in low. HUD/dash filled with operation information. Fairly quiet. Pre-wired for winch; present surprise. Would recommend others to purchase; be prepared to make a couple cheap improvements.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problems Bought the bike in August. Rode it around my yard, easing it in for the first 25 hours like I was told. No problem. Hulauled it to the hunting camp with only eight hours use, opening day wouldn't start. Had to go to a dealer near by and neaded a new spark plug. Guy new what it was without looking at it. No problems rest of the week. Haul it home in snowy conditions in an open trailer. Cant get it to move a few feet. Sits for a couple days works fine. Hunt a second week where it had to be hauled. On the way home more snowy condition, bike again wouldn't move or run properly. Had dry again. Love the bike other than the fact you can't take anywhere on a open trailer unless it's clear skies.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I already submitted a review and received no feedback on my comments. I do not even know why I am wasting my time with submitting this one. It has already been in for warranty repairs for rattles (cheap plastic) and two broken motor mounts. They were broken right off the show room floor. Clearly the dealership in Tomahawk, WI (Erv's, where I bought it, rather impulsively) must have used the machine and very roughly, as it is hard to believe it made it off the assembly line like that. My local dealership in Fond du Lac, WI (Fred's Fastrac) said they have never seen broken motor mounts like that. I am very disappointed and have been a long time Polaris owner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lemon I bought the the 450 back in mid December, it was great at first. After having it a month or so, it started cranking slow. Then two weeks ago, it would not start, just spin over. Hauled it to dealership, it was there for 10 days. I was called and told it was ready and that the fuel pump had went bad and was replaced. I picked it up this past Saturday, unloaded and parked it in the garage. Went to ride it Sunday, no start, just spins over. Called dealership today, and was told to bring it back in and drop it off. Now I’ve gotta take off work again to take it back to dealership. Not to happy with my purchase at this point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great machine annonying hicups I bought this machine to use for snow plowing. The plow has since broken and been replaced under warranty. However I told the salesman I was going to use the machine for commercial sidewalks and the plow is definitely not up to the job. Next year I will have to purchase another plow brand. I think the idea is good but the cutting edge needs to be replaced again after one storm. Also the machine has done a few weird things when it gets wet ie check engine light coming on, sputtering, and stalling. I will say the warranty process for the plow was great. I came with a broken plow and left with a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride I baught this atv about 3 months ago. As far as smooth ride power for towing wood it lacks nothing. It's still new to me so some things are yet to be determined. I guess if I was forced to complain about something it would be the gas cap and the flat racks. Gas cap is hard to fill with 5 gallon tank which most use..... and the flat racks make it hard for aftermarket addons. I get that wasn't to sell you the Polaris addons but their is very nice American made gear that mounts to bars very easily that simply don't work well with this set up. Like I said if I had to complain that's all the rest of the machine has surpassed my expectations.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed so far I have had the bike for about two months. Excited to ride. Older 500ho has been great but getting a little tired and unreliable so I treated myself to a new one. Taken it up to the cottage three times now. Has come back each weekend basically unridden. Brake issues, won’t start each time. Getting towed back to the trailer. Into the shop each time. Leaking brake lines again this weekend Won’t start. Towed again. Back to the dealer. Maybe one day I can ride with the boys again. Starting to think I made a mistake and Polaris isn’t making the bikes like they used to and without quality parts. Warranty is nice but Polaris should be doing something for me for the inconvenience and disappointment. Darren
